  1. Hi
I have a 2003 ST2 which has been stood unused in a garage for 10 years. I firstly want to get the bike on the road to see how I get on with it but could anyone advise in what order I should do a full service in.
My first Ducati so I don't know best place for spares etc. I live in Wakefield UK
    Thanks

  16. Hi and welcome.

I wouldn’t take it in the road or even start it before replacing its belts.
    Then:-
    Fresh fuel
    Battery ok? Oil level checked?
    Start it. Then
    Oil and filter change
    brake Fluid change
    coolant change.
    Chain ok?
    Etc etc

Moto Rapido are the very best place for spares. Speak to Craig or Luke. They are the Mutts Nuts.

  18. Agree with Expat Jack (more or less :))
Definitely belts but as it has stood for 10 years, I would drop the belt and valve covers off, and if the belts look sound, plugs out, turn it over by hand (buy the tool to turn it over from the gen side) several times and make sure none of the valves are sticky, and none of the tensioner bearings are seized.
I would check the tank for rust, new filters if any issues and only ever use super unleaded for the future.
New battery, plugs out and shorted to earth, turn it over until you have oil pressure.
Back together, check you are getting fuel pressure on the ignition (pump runs then stops) Then run it up to temp and change oil and filter.
SMC in Sheffield are Ok if you order parts during the week (IME the weekend guys are pleasant but aren’t Ducati parts people!)
    Good luck.
    Jon
