After losing Monty to cancer last year the home has really felt empty so last week we picked up Timmy. A rescue, we thought he was 9 but it turns out he’s more likely 13 so we may have him 2yrs, maybe 10 but it makes no odds, it’s about giving this senior citizen a loving relaxing home in his twilight years
That's one handsome cat buddy. Always good to hear someones taken a rescue, too many people wont take on old cats and its a shame
And that look says ‘not another bloody slave to break in’ Good luck with him and I hope he chooses to share his light with you Andy
A great day for us at Crufts on Friday (Pastoral day). L-R ...... Chester (placed 2nd in his class), Jess (a 1st, a 2nd & a 4th places in her 3 classes), Dizzi (a 2nd place in her class), Ella (no places this time, but a special mention from the judge), Fly & Meg (nothing for those two this time). I'm really not bothered about showing, but it is obviously nice to get recognition (especially at Crufts) for the pups we breed Jess and her owner (Sarah) even made it on to the TV coverage. They're all first and foremost much loved pets, but Chester & Jess are also back to their 'day jobs' on their respective farms. Chester Jess & Sarah Dizzi
We’ve had a rough couple of weeks here. My sisters Weimaraner had a big op to untangle his innards that they only found out he had a problem with from a pre cancer op check up. Huge complications from it but seems he’s in full recovery now touch wood. He’s only 5 too. And I took my Kenny to the vets this week because he was moving like an old man and I thought it was early stage arthritis, turns out he had a crick in his neck (you live and learn!) and he’s also back to as normal as he gets. I nearly ended up with four dogs yesterday as we had to bring this stray home that attached itself to us over the park, for what looked like a much needed breakfast and some attention. Turned out he was from a local farm and they did t even know he was missing when I dropped him back they They also had another one chained up outside. Pricks. He’d travelled quite a distance lol
You know what it did cross my mind. The little fella had crossed a main road, a railway track, a river, and a private estate to get to where I found him, reminded me of the littlest hobo As soon as I got him back to mine though he started trying to mount all my other dogs (males included) , it was carnage. Too much for a Saturday morning
Beryl (Bez) and Elsie. Rescue cats. Bez wants to play 24/7. Elsie wants to eat 24/7 Bez woke me up at 4am with her fishing rod. She wanted to play ffs.
