If you read my post attentively, you will notice that it was not my first choice. The second was in jest (facial expression) as the OP does not have the strength nor the clearance space to tilt the bike sufficiently.
As I was just recovering from a knee and wrist injury and my new garage was tight for space I bought the Dynamoto stand see link which is amazing as it allows u to move the bike around easily . Seriously it’s a game changer for me it’s not cheap as u have to buy via Poland or direct from Oz
BTW i have a spare Dynamoto rear stand as I have sold my panigale v2 still breaks my heart but my wrist can’t take too much it fits dukes but u can buy different fittings
Nice idea, preposterous, unjustifiable price. There will be cheap copies along fairly shortly I expect.
Hi, I do have an Abba stand but don't want to mount the bike on it every time I remove it from the garage. I'm looking for the simplest operation / effort I can find.
Hi, nothing if you are OK with mounting onto the stand each time you go into the garage, but I'm looking for a solution that allows me to walk in, easily move the bike away from the wall and then guide it out of the garage. When I return it i want to push it up to the corner and easily slide the back end up to the wall and that's it, done. I'm thinking the baking tin or something similar is the way to go, with a little more imagination thrown in......
I was just kidding about the side-stand manoeuvre but I do believe the Dynamoto rear stand is a viable option for you. Alternatively, you can modify your rear paddock stand with Rotacastor wheels or construct a dolly for it. https://www.varley-castors.co.uk/rotacaster
i have used the side stand to turn my bike a couple of times now. both times were when i was parked up in the corner on the ferry to spain it saved having to wheel it backwards fully loaded .its quite easy when you get the balance right
Bought this…..ride onto it put side stand down and then push (wherever you like) into the corner. Means it’s easy to ride out again….because you can turn it 180° so ride into the garage turn round and ride straight back out!!! Picked up second hand for £50!!
Ha ha I wish no they are painted bricks…..used masonary paint and I’ve just updated the stripe from orange (KTM) stripe to Red (Ducati!!)
Not sure if this is what you need as it seems many are suggesting a solution to 'turn' the bike. I've used this for over 20 years.
