Endeavor the last of the series that been running over a decade now, rounded up nicely in my opinion.
Magnificent television. I’ve loved every minute. What I’ve also enjoyed was the 20 minute discussion afterwards with boy no.2 as he knows the game inside out. I learned today that Ellie’s mother is played by the lady that voiced Ellie in the game. Apparently there’s loads of that stuff in it.
SPOILER STOP READING IF WATCHING AND NOT SEEN THE LAST….. I thought it was amazing how the mother/daughter looked so much like they could be real life. Soon as you saw her, you thought ‘that’s her mum’. Great casting. Having played the game and a big fan, one of my all time top 3 probably, not sure about the one with the two blokes (well acted and written but nothing related and didn’t add anything really) the rest is very like remember it. I’ve seen some YT vids of side by side, tv vs game, and it’s incredibly accurate.
Was alright I suppose Not being a gamer and never played the game so I’ve nothing to go by, but I get how one has to travel from place to place picking up little boxes of gold of whatever to get to the next stage to perpetuate the series. Now Pottery Throw Down there’s a cliff hanger! Grown men crying, suspense, she/ him/ them/ they, it’s got it all. What a little beauty.
AFAIK not having played the game the relationship between the 2 men wasn’t revealed in the game, there are plenty of examples of adaptations deviating from the source material. The most recent for me was ‘This is going to hurt’. It seemed a shoe in for me but still an enjoyable episode non the less.
I watched the Cathy Burke thing this week, well most of it. She said she thinks of someone who identifies as them as two people…says all you need to know about that bollox
One of the pupils who my Mrs teaches won an inter schools ceramic competition that involved the chap on the program who cry’s a lot, both were to meet up with him for the day at a ceramic studio. Unfortunately it got cancelled due to Covid and hasn’t been rearranged. Borderlands 2 is a good starting point for a game BL1 is ok but 2 is far superior , plenty of shooting, ammo, weapon, money. I’ve tried most of the other usual suspects, but they aren’t as much fun as BL2.
As you can tell I don’t watch the TGBTD with the Mrs, I don’t watch anything she watches and v-v. On occasion she call me in the watch a clip in a ‘you got to see this bit’ but that watch is just to humour her.
Travelling to an event at The Top of The Shard, the highest entertaining space in Western Europe. Not a fan of heights, so see how that goes…
