quick question if i may please : this might be a dumb question - do these paddock stands need any mods doing to the v4 in order to work? or can i simply buy 1 and use it as is with my v4? i know bobbins are used on other bikes so i assume i'd need them on my v4 (it has none).
Sssa single sided swing arm from 748-v4 are the same stand .. just the size of the pin is bigger from 1098 on. The 748 size pin also fits a 999 etc and works

Not a pair, two rear stands. I’m told Pierobon’s latest rear stand has a slightly higher lift and in reality, is aimed at race teams rather than cheapskates like you and me Andy

Have u looked at Dynamoto really expensive but u can move bike around easily. Had to get it as a broken wrist meant difficulty moving bike I posted a similar reply with YouTube link
I’ve just bought this lovely paddock stand for my V4S but it’s not for a Ducati. Is the correct pin size 40mm for my bike? I’d like to confirm before having it machined down. My vernier says 40mm will do but I’ve also seen 40.7mm advertised.
Agreed, Harris are the best. However it will have to be second hand unless you find someone with stock, because they stopped manufacturing them earlier this year. Just to add.... the earlier Grey Ducati Performance ones and the Pierobon both have the bar you can slot in to lock the rear wheel to remove the wheelnut. Very useful.
Hmm not convinced with using the lock bar. The one and only time I used it on my 998 many years ago, it bent when trying to undo the wheel and you have to be really careful to protect the wheel from damage by at least putting some padding between the bar and wheel. I much prefer to lock the wheel using the rear brake or have someone sit on the bike and apply the brakes if possible, though I realise if you are on your own this is not an option. I have seen some people suggest putting the bike in gear but with a 230Nm nut to undo (on a V4 at least) that's a very bad idea if you value your gearbox.
