We had ours changed probably ten years ago, and five years ago had the gates electrified, mainly so I could operate them both with a button press from the motorbike. No idea what brand but we used a local company (to us) in Salisbury called freelance. It would be nice if there was a mobile phone app, there probably is, but it would need modifying.
Thanks for the info everyone, really appreciate you taking the time. Garolla came earlier in the week, SecureRoll today and Crocodile coming tomorrow.. Garolla and SecureRoll seem to be very similar products, but 5 Yr guarantee on the SecureRoll where the is 2 years on the Garolla. Thanks again.
I ordered mine from here and fitted them myself: https://www.twf-rollergaragedoors.co.uk/ They really are very easy to install. I had help from lady Nasher and my youngest son for about 20 mins on each door, but managed to remove 2 up-and-over doors and their frames, then fit the two replacements in @6hrs. Give it a go, I'm very happy with the quality, and all in the pair was less than £1500 delivered in @2 weeks.
We had a Garolla fitted in 2022, Guy came did a survey and gave a price. Came back next week and all fitted in a day. Took old door etc away. Very professional service . Price was including extra trim and an extra remote £960. Single garage. 5 year guarantee.
Forgive the tangential comment, but I've just switched from an up-and-over garage door to side-hinged (opening outwards), and I'm delighted - a very cheap, practical upgrade. I've got two-thirds / one-thirds doors, a bit like this: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/471963235928602794/ - i.e. with a standard door just for walking into the garage, getting a wheelie bin or cycle out, and the larger one for bikes etc. It feels much more secure because you can secure the doors with huge drop bolts; and I like the fact that I can have one door open for access and ventilation in summer etc, without everyone who walks by being able to peer in. This might be a useful thought for someone.
