So I’m contemplating selling my 1098S to find another project / build. bought in the summer to use for commuting when I get dragged into the office now covids over but hasn’t been used in a month or 2, and well, I like swapping bikes. It’s a 2008 1098S in good overall condition for a 15 year old bike, I have taken it out in the rain and I presume one of the 6 million previous owners has as well. Spoke to ducati John as there are loads of receipts and he rebuilt the engine at 15k miles back in 2015. The mileage is now 26k miles. I would suggest a belt change over the winter although I swapped the oil, filter, coolant, brake / clutch fluids and new tyres, when I got her, I intend on the doing the belts over the winter if I don’t sell her. Couple of minor blemishes here and there notably some odd random bubbling on the tank. I’ll upload some pictures and a video in the morning, but before then it’s red, Ohlins front and rear, forged marchesini’s, rearsets, sprinkling of gloss carbon (front and rear mudguards, key surround) and carbon termi’s HPI clear, V5 in my name. Won’t be disappointed to keep her as she’s a fantastic machine. Gonna leave it upto fate as to whether I should part with her and take on a project or keep her look forward to commuting in the spring on her Looking for £7500 ono The bike is in Castleford in West Yorkshire.
