  1. Totally overpowered and out played by a better team. Too many mistakes to even get a way back into the game. Poor Ellis Genge was almost in tears .
France didn’t even look tired or dirty whereas England looked dilapidated, wet, disheveled and basically knackered.

  4. More like Macron put pressure on Rishi, saying you must throw the match as part of the £500 million deal.

  5. The Shaun Edwards effect I think. Wales were bonkers to let him go.

  6. I don’t know much about rugby. But I do know the French quite like it and have always had a decent team. Brutally illustrated yesterday :astonished:
We won the World Cup in it a bit back didn’t we? No wonder everyone hates us. As a nation we can’t fuken move cos we’re knee deep in world cups!! Doh, football, cricket, rugby, you name it…. :D

  13. Well what's the predictions for the final weekend matches then, the Scots, French and the Irish for the obvious wins or other.?
Can the Italians win their last match, which would certainly boost their confidence for the world cup, Perhaps the Welsh & English have a point to prove as well.

  16. England certainly has a point to prove.Steve Borthwick seems to have done little to get the team playing well.In fact the results have been poor since he took on the coaching job.I am less than optimistic about this weekend’s game.

  17. My prediction is for England to lose to Ireland, but by a lesser margin than they did to France.

Borthwick does appear to be struggling, mainly with an overall plan.
If the main strategic players with respect to dictating the flow of the game don't know what the plan is, and are being moved around into different positions, they literally won't know who's going to be behind them on either side, can't predict what the player they are passing to will do with it, or even if there will be somebody actually there to receive the ball in the first place.

My personal preference is for Smith over Farrell, but actually I think just making a decision to favour one of them and base a plan around that will give the rest of the team the confidence to know what's going on.

The Forwards in my opinion are doing their job well, helped by the experience, stability and strength of George and Cole, but once they've done their job it all goes to pot.

If there are plenty of Epic try line battles for the forwards to phase after phase bludgeon their way over the line England will be fine, but if the game ends up a quick running game Lowe will just keep racking up crafty trys for Ireland.

  18. Given the game is the players’ livelihood, which they participate in, day in day out, on a purely superficial level, the role of coach would appear almost supernumerary. Just a focal point to advise on tactics and rally the spirits of the troops. Yes, I know it’s more than that but in my opinion, the players bear the largest portion of blame for being distinctly average. Final table, Ireland; France; Scotland; England; Wales; Italy. 19. Good luck to the Celts today, although I do think Wales will have a tough game but fingers crossed.
