  1. Yes, I ran the bike but shut off immediately when realised the issue.

  3. Advice noted and I’ll run the checks suggested. Really appreciate your help, will revert to the thread if make any progress. Thanks

  4. but not unless the bike has run..

  5. Sorry, I missed this bit, so as Mr B. says, and would have said, crankcase ventilation rather than carb ventilation could be the issue here, provided that fuel has already syphoned into sump - and easy to check:-
1/ If you had brimmed/half-brimmed tank and it's mysteriously almost empty.
2 /Sight glass reads "over-filled" (as said) or even remove crankcase oil-filler and check for petrol smell.

  7. Makes sense, thanks for the input. Will check all suggestions. Really do appreciate your thoughts, Chris and Mr B…

  8. If fuel had leaked from the carbs into the sump, and the engine run, then the excess being pumped out through the breather into the catch tank probably more likely than finding its own level as I guess that would need a lot of fuel.....

  10. I’m still confused as to how it ran, on both pots, but still dumped so much fuel

  11. yes, had no idea how much as not included, and depends a lot on how good your piston rings are seating - i.e. - the worst they are seating, the more will continue into the airbox.
