Popped over to see @cookster for a chat and he kindly offered to mot and take my 1299 out for a few rides
Used today for its correct purpose It managed to top four tyres, 2 bikes, without losing any power You simply set the required pressure and push the button… simple The most difficult thing to do was connecting it to the valve on the front wheel of the monster as the discs get in the way! It stops automatically when the selected pressure is reached Small powerful and feels like quality
Angled tyre valves could be your Monsters friend. https://www.louis-moto.co.uk/en/ang...oaAg_zEALw_wcB&filter_article_number=10040699
Went and did the weekly food shop first thing. Then went to start my daughters car and give it a run as its been sat for a fortnight, battery completely flat so jumped it off our car. Drove it up to my dad's to put on his charger, but it wasn't taking any charge. Left the car there and had a pleasant 40 min walk home. He's going to get a battery for it in the week. Uncovered the old two duc's and checked the tyre pressures, all needed topping up by about 5 psi. Might dare to try and start them tomorrow its been a few months. Polished the wheels on the new ss. Just about to cook a curry for me and the wife.
Mixed bag of a day. Fixed fence from wind damage this week. Renewals passport. Post office for some return stuff. Fitted battery to pani and gave it a start and run up to 75 deg. Spent all morning dodging showers. Then spent 3 hr 15 walking mostly in torrential rain around a soaked and puddle laden golf course for 6 miles…. Now have dining room full of stuff drying out!
Thanks. It was running a treat last year and I loved every ride on it, a real occasion and a overload of sensations.
Cleaned up some used discs for an RSV that I was hoping to use, and found that they are bloody cracked!!!! So prepping plan B!
Did a load of exercise this morning (swim & gym), lazy lunch, read the papers (skimmed past anything political or depressing), watched the rugby. Went to the golf club for a load of lager. Booked the first and last night for my bike trip in June, decided to stop asking if anyone wants to come, so now embracing doing a Euro solo tour. Can’t bloody wait tbh. Back home for an epic dinner of sausage & mash with all the trimmings, few libations, nap in front of the telly, couple of nightcaps, and off to bed in a minute. Cracking day.
So far, been to the gym to offset the anticipated huge calorie intake when the outlaws arrive and the gin starts flowing! Recon I can have a triple before I use up the calories burned!! Bugger.
I did the mothers day visit with pressies this morning and thankfully she was too tired to go out for lunch, so I had a great afternoon on the bike.
