Definitely talented, though I wonder how often luck was also on his side. Right up to the big accident when luck ran out. The Honda was also one of the fastest on the grid, if the rider could stay on board. That does not seem to be the case anymore. We would need to see him on another bike to know just how good he really is/was. Mir and Rins both sitting in front of him…without a free tow from Fabio….
I totally agree, just look at Mir & Rins, still adapting to the bike and already on the pace. I think HRC will regret signing MM on a 5 year contract.
If Mir can transfer his testing and free practice form (beat MM in both) into race form, you could have a very valid point but I’d not bet against MM just yet. An interesting point during the commentary, MM has chosen a different chassis to JM which both are different again from the one being used by TN and AR. Andy
Really not sounding great for Pol, not life threatening but lots of injuries https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/1...s-neurologically-fine-after-portimao-accident
It at least sounds promising that he can move his arms and feet. Fingers crossed. These riders put everything on the line.
No bt sport 5 or discovery plus if you subscribe through virgin media, so no fp3 coverage for me. What an absolute fucking joke
Oh look. Marquez gets on back of bastianini, who is in red sectors, gets a tow to poll. Fabio needs to learn a lesson….
Another typical performance by MM, latching onto Bastainini to steal. On the plus side, another great performance by all the riders who do the fast laps by themselves, Pecco, Jack, Martin & Oliveira.
It’s just his ‘tactic’ though and within the rules if not lacking in ‘class’. Riders maybe ask for a rule change? Not a MM fanboi I’m a neutral TBH.
He’s in a 5 year contract with Honda isn’t he, so unless he wants a court battle with HRC or they agree to release him he’s in there long term. There’s nothing brave about honouring contracts that’s just being grown up.
