Just wanted to post some kudos to Craig at MR. I called about getting an new clutch and he was pleasant, informative and couldn’t have been more helpful. An example to all parts depts in dealerships.
parts and service is consistently good there! I have when I've been in there often found you feel a bit like you are trespassing though
I've said several times before on here that I like dealing with Craig, and the other spares chap, but it always feels like you have to run the gauntlet of the rude and dismissive sales guys downstairs to get to see them.
I really don't think they are a bad dealer at all, in fact I do recommend them to anyone in the area, just that it can feel a bit 'cliky' in there. They were brilliant sorting out all the issues that Ducati Oxford (who are absolutely the worst dealer in history) had caused and have always been great with warranty stuff etc, even getting me a new water pump after the warranty had expired on my 899 etc back in the day.
Nothing too much trouble for Craig, they’re not my local dealer but I just get such good service and knowledge I don’t bother with anyone else.. Bought 3 bikes from Brian probably 10 years ago but he left for Snells, the deals stopped, now I go elsewhere..
I had an issue with an eBay seller misrepresenting an exhaust as titanium which, when I received it, was clearly stainless steel. He was a bona fide sociopath and unwilling to accept that he was wrong (even inadvertently) so I needed a letter from a Ducati expert to support my PayPal claim. Even though there was absolutely nothing in it for them, the guy I dealt with a MR could not have been more helpful as he provided the letter the next day and helped me with a couple of follow up enquires later on.
i'm glad 2 of you said this before me, as only called there for the first time last year and was thinking to myself - if it wasn't for Craig then I possibly wouldn't have called in at the shop, and after first impression I definitely wouldn't have called in at the shop.
Craig is a star. A couple of years ago I was trying to get hold of the workshop for a couple of weeks to quote for a remap on my 1000SS, but they didn't reply to any emails, never answered the phone, and every time I left a message they just ignored it. So I called Craig, explained that I couldn't get hold of them and after he spoke to them they got back to me. The excuse was that they were busy with their race team, no apology, just arrogance that they were above dealing with me. By that point I would of course never consider using anyone with a crap attitude like that. Now of course the spares department is not open on a Saturday, so I tend to use Snells if I want to collect.
I’ve just realised after reading your post that it was actually Snells who helped me out, not Moto Rapido
Yep, good lads at MR. The place definitely has a workshop feel to it as opposed to a showroom feel. They certainly know their stuff
I was ignored twice at Moto Rapido, so ride by on my way to Snells who have always been excellent. The Bournemouth dealer is going to be closer so I may migrate Vince the direction.
Morning everyone I always go to Moto Rapido for parts or advice, first went to them twelve years ago when the wife got a M900 and feel no reason to go elsewhere to be honest.
