My brother in law was going to buy a E36 bmw which had be on the cat system, even though it has a full favourable engineers report his normal insurance company refused.
A yellow 900ss, i originally agreed to buy this one from you know who, if you recognise the white door that is. https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1566039
My heart was set on the superlight, so i backed out the following day. #Any other question's on the bikes condition, then pleae email me.!
Yes that's correct, i'm not sure what's going on with the seller and his description, probably on drugs.
I believe it would also have a single seat unit and higher exhausts. But lets face it, the Silver colour looked awful.
Can i twist your arm off with this one or not.......i think Moto Rapido have one in their collection.
The Silver 'shade' and metalic content when seen in person could be politely described as 'of it's time'.
According to the gospel of Falloon, the last carby 900ss's were produced in 1997, both std SS and the silver FE, so as the seller says its the last of the carby SS's to be sold in the UK, albeit a std one. Presumably it sat in a dealers from 97 to its sale and registration in 99, and would be interesting to see original sales price in 99 vs 97 list price! Certainly a lovely thing though!
Yeah that's got the wrong colour wheels and the wrong brake calipers on it. It might be due to the crash damage but at £8k it's still a lot. Also, that's a dealer well known for peddling rough old bikes covered in loads of furniture polish!
Looks like it been primed but not top coated, it would have a little more appeal if the frame was White or Black even. The Ducati rust colour just looks wrong IMO.
Also the wrong colour for a UK '02 748R. None delivered to the UK market in Yellow after the first Öhlins model, mid summer to early autumn 2001. Andy
Roll your sleeves up with this Ducati Scrambler 250 / mark 3 project. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12585043...yhgm7XemlofKtCVMqK8L/T3x7m|tkp:Bk9SR7rypenmYQ

that's an interesting one - spot the deliberate mistakes? - two steering options shown and fuel cap fitted 180 deg out.. That's an early engine/al. swingarm, and quite a "bitza".
