Fair play to that....i get upset when my 13year old evo sp gets spray from the road on it....mainly because its a right cunt to clean....a motorized climbing frame on wheels not to mention the barrels which are their own separate nightmare (to clean).
what a hero - I struggled with the weight of my old Ktm 690 on the dirt, I don't think im man enough to handle the Hyper in the dirt! I think i'd cry when i dropped it
Just watched this, immediately followed by him being held up around Donington on a track day with the fast group - the Hypermotard truly is a "do it all" bike!
I kinda wish I’d bought a hyper instead of my MV but hey. I watched one where he got spanked by a KTM 890. I guess just because they’re in a fast group doesn’t make them fast and it takes all sorts.
Similar power, torque and weight as my s4rs I reckon…. @cookster decent tyres and that may well be the good choice for Silverstone
The downsides are distinct lack of front end feel and low pegs, similar to multi on track. You wear boots out for fun.
Yeah, I’ve owned a Hypermotard before I switched to a KTM 790 and it’s very similar to being a sail with your chest with it’s supermoto positioning. Mates had both Hyper and the 790, reckons the 790 is a better more agile bike but the hyper is better for just general riding.
