Anyone after a cheap commuter/gravel bike? Size 54 aluminium frame carbon fork. Its running a single chainring on the front as the wife used it for CX racing a few years ago. As the photo’s show its pretty much immaculate. £350 ono, collection from Taunton area if anyone is interested. I’ll change the bar tape before I sell it.
Look at this beauty Vietnam though sadly, wonder what he wants for it? https://www.facebook.com/marketplac...6380642816967573504","ftmd_400706":"111112l"}
theres a Wessex Warrior (or some other massive exercise) going on later in the month, there will be plenty of armour knocking about.
I’d love to drive a tank, sat in a Chieftan at the Tank Museum at Bovington in the drivers seat. But the real stand out was watching the Tiger 131 driving round the arena after watching them start it.
Love Bovington. I treated an ex-girlfriend to a surprise trip there, oh, how she laughed... I do recall her asking why they were all green...
It’s a fair old jaunt for me, loved it when they had all the heavy German tanks in their own display. They were a sand camo though. But yeah maybe she was thinking a Bright Pink would look epic. How’s your tendon doing bud?
Still shitty. I'm hoping to go for a shortish and flatish ride on Monday and see how it holds up. Been looking forward to getting out all winter, going to be pissed off if I can't
yes, sorry to hear that Gary, can so relate to this. The trick is not to put on weight now, and if you conquer this then you've done better than me.
i actually drove a M1 Abraham in Kuwait, long story but basically had free reign for 20 minutes hacking across the desert.
You Lucky Lucky B’stard, joy riding a top trump tank. Roubaix for you this next week isn’t it Drinky?
Yes, Roubaix on Saturday. On the Top Trump front, I’ve also flown in the back seat of a Hawk and taken control for a few minutes, had a left hand seat flight in a Sea King (definitely no touching any controls), SPIE Rigged under Sea Knight (baby chinnock) and done a few sorties in an AC130 gun ship. Oh and I’ve been casevaced in a Black Hawk.
They are some Red letter day experiences, not the casevaced bit though that’d be completely not a good day. My old neighbours gets to ‘play’ on helicopters and stuff, he learned to ride a motorcycle whilst stationed in Kabul. Last he helped me at worked when he was on leave said he was in the Paras for the long haul. Joined the army as a boy soldier at 16, all he’d ever wanted to do. Hope he’s ok not heard from him in ages……
the casevac was a sporting injury, playing 5 aside in one of Saddams palaces and went over on my ankle, our American cousins had me on an xray machine in Turkey in no time at all. Left to our side I’d of been given two Brufen and an elastic bandage. I do remember the crew that flew me back that night were ‘as lost as an officer with a map’ for most of the flight.
