RIP Michael Rhodes. You may not know the name, but if you listen to music, you've probably heard him. Lately the bass player in Joe Bonamassa's touring band, he also played or recorded with Beth Hart, Mark Knopfler, Lee Ann Womack, Vince Gill, Elton John, Dolly Parton, The Dixie Chicks, Lionel Richie, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Seger, Stevie Nicks, Buddy Guy and many, many others. Thanks for the music Michael. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Rhodes_(musician)

Big fan of Sakamoto san. Excellent producer/composer. Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence is one of my favourite songs, David Sylvian’s vocals on the track are excellent.
Condolences to his family of course. Lawson slashed billionaires income tax by 50% which is why he is so revered (by them). Lawson presided over the fire sale of all the UK's assets to wealthy elites just like the asset strippers that Thatcher admired, whilst simultaneously raising interest rates to 15+% which was catastrophic for ordinary people and massively increased unemployment. The privatisation of water, gas & electric, the North Sea, and social housing have not improved the lot of the average family in the UK at all.
For some of us certainly. Lawson was the Chairman of Vote Leave, who then moved to live in France until the French declined his Carte Sejour application. Rather summed up his approach to everything which was imo very much centred around what was best for him & bugger everyone else.
How old are you? I’m 58 and when I was a kid everyone was skint… and I mean everyone. I didn’t know anyone with a nice car or a big house. Oh, and the country was grinding to a halt. I remember candlelit evenings due to power cuts and every fucker on strike… It’s only after Maggie got in that ordinary people could start to make a few bob. Back to socialist Britain? Fuck that….
These people who were on strike the ones you call "every fucker" -were they ordinary people? Why do you think they were on strike?
I’d agree (well actually I did ) but they’re (the two main parties) just as bad as each other, for slightly different reasons. But one thing they both have in common they want to take something off you. The Left want your personal freedoms, the Right want to take the grease off your financial wheels.
