797 Paddock Stand Help Please

Discussion in 'Monster' started by JB_UFO, Apr 10, 2023.

  1. Hi, my son has just bought his first Ducati! - proud Dad moment, don’t know where he gets his taste from .
Just going through maintenance points and started looking for paddock stand placement. There no bobbin threads, and hardly and room for L shaped cup mounts. Can anyone recommend a solution?, or any photos of ones they are using. It’s mainly for cleaning the wheel, lubing the chain and chain adjustment.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Is it a grey cast swingarm?
Perhaps @Sev can provide advice if so?

  4. I use the Abba superbike stand. Not sure if they do a fitting kit for this bike as I made my own but it does work well. It's a bit higher off the ground than some other bikes of mine with the same stand but very stable. It also allows you to remove the rear wheel and the front with the help of a jack.

  5. Oh dear, I think I may have misread the original post title…I thought that you were asking about a 749 swingarm!
Please accept my apologies - I am afraid I don’t know about 797s!

  8. Did think of these but wasn’t sure how they would cope with chain adjusting as you would probably have to loosen them as well as the axle nut………but now saying that, there may be 3-5mm of thread on the axle. Not with the bike atm but will report back. Thanks Cookster

  9. Alternatively, slide a sturdy metal bar through the axle and lift the rear using a paddock stand with hooks on it?
