Hi All, new here so hi. my bike is new to me and new ish, approx 2k miles only (currently!) clutch bite point right quite far out on the lever. I’m not talking lever span here, but bite point. The span is set at minimum and although manageable, ideally it would be a tad closer too. The piston on to the master cylinder is threaded on the brembo, anyone know if this is an appropriate adjustment point as well? And if so just a small spanner, is there a lock screw? I have found some photos of spare parts for the master cylinder and this does look to be the case but wanted to see if anyone else had done this. Many thanks.
Have you thought about alternative levers with cam adjusters , rather than mess around with the factory master cylinder settings.
Personally i would go with this option, messing around with the master can end up bringing the brakes on, if you change the levers avoid the ebay specials and buy from a reputable company, the likes of evotech.
I’ve got the Evotech levers on mine, they’re a huge improvement over stock, and not ridiculous money either.
Thanks for the replies. I’ll look at aftermarket levers but ill check on the pin adjustment with my dealer first. Seems to me that this is essentially the same dimension that’s getting adjusted with the existing span adjuster anyway.

I have some short Evotech levers to sell if you are interested. I will say though I had the same issue as you re span and the best option by far us the Ducabike fully adjustable levers. They come at a price though. I just bought the clutch lever as that was all I needed.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/18524534...kxhZYBdTpe&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY A word of warning when fitting these. Ensure the pivots are adjusted so that the one clutch switch is closed whilst the other is open BEFORE starting the bike. If both switches are not correctly adjusted the switch will burn out in first start up. Don’t ask me how I know.
Yes, I had the same problem when I fitted these…https://conquestracingltd.com/produ...a-v4-ultimate-adjustable-brake-clutch-levers/ The micro-switches are essential for abs, cruise control and quick shifter… otherwise get red dash warnings
Thought I would update the outcome. Took the stock lever off and just couldn’t get any movement from the threaded bolt. Having used a spanner a few times you get a feel for when a nut wants to turn and this one didn’t . Contingency plan was a pair of evotec levers which were both highly recommended here, by a friend too and reasonably priced! The additional span adjustment they provide has sorted the clutch feel for me. Still mystified why that nut wouldn’t turn…
