  6. haven’t seen that on there site, must of had a man look. I’ll get a quote off them.
    Cheers

  7. What Shakey says...

  8. With assureton make sure you get the right cover (formula 2??????)
or it will not be accepted at the track.

  9. Go with anyone but a UK track day firm and the insurance issue disappears. So does lack of access to your lap times. So does the need to hire a fuel can. So does the seven o'clock rush for garage space. So does the bollox about people in the wrong groups.
Rehm & DG even set up races on the final day.

  10. Did you get sorted? We are Going to Jerez in May and have been trying to get hold of RBG to get a quote but they don't reply to any emails and the web site is rubbish. Does any one know if they are still operating?

  11. Just a point to note on Assureton. At Cartanega guy in next garage had a trip to hospital and was with Assureton.
The hospital did not deal with them so he had to pay on his card and reclaim from the insurance after the event. I don’t know how common this is (quite common I guess) but thought it worth posting just for information.

  12. I totally agree with you Paul in that the whole process is out of date and in desperate need of an upgrade. Id also add the cluster queue in the bar the night before the first day to show I have insurance, why is this not done electronically?
they have managed it electronically with the carnet its seems a simple thing to provide your in date and for you insurance details before the event. Simple fixes really.

  13. That doesn’t surprise me. They’re suspiciously cheap!! I used them recently for Jerez. Fine for meeting required criteria. Not so fine if you smash yourself up….

  14. I think all insurance these days is pages of small print that no one reads followed by a lot of squirming when you need to claim.
On TDs expect to pay for treatment up front, keep all paperwork and receipts, then face the endless phone calls and emails when you get back.

  15. I like the not falling off option. My only arse twitch moments came recently with the off road stuff. Nearly went over a fekin cliff… :astonished:

  16. Wait until your are my age and try and find track day health insurance. UK underwriters seem to think you should be in your bath chair at 70, not thrashing round a track. The last few years, I’ve bought insurance in Spain because the Spanish underwriters are a little more understanding. Andy

  17. That sounds a faff. Presumably you do it online so can’t you do it beforehand?
Who do you use out of interest (getting myself future-proofed ;)).

  18. A local arrangement with the track owner and the track day organiser. You get private hospital cover and repatriation. It’s been 20€/day for the last few years but I think it’s 25€ this year. Andy

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  19. When I crashed in andalucia, assureton covered everything eventually, private hospital. Took 2 days to approve surgery, and after that sorted my own repatriation, cause I didn't want to hang around, and took 2 months to get it back, but all sorted eventually

  20. Even if you were insured here, there isn’t a hospital less than a day away…..
