Hi everyone. I’m picking up my first Ducati on Saturday.. woop..woop ! Really excited but having a bit of trouble with sorting out the insurance. I’m assuming it has a factory security system so can someone tell me what system and if there are any other security aids on the bike please? OEM Ducati Immo systems are not insurance approved. Check to see if the bike has been security marked with Datatag’s master system as this was rolled out as fitted to all new bikes (just cannot find from what year though). Bike trak was also offered free on certain new bikes from 2020. The OEM stuff is not the Ducati Security System as shown on insurer’s approved list.
Ah ok that confirms some of the things I’ve read. I was going to phone around the insurance companies today, but I think I’ll wait and speak to the dealer to find out what if any security the bike has. Thanks for your help again
