Visited John today to pick up the starter motor which needs a coat of paint. I managed to catch a glimpse of my engine. Heads are built up and the crank cases are coming along nicely.

Very slowly putting stuff back together. Frame and sub frame have for gone powder coating. I'm hoping for a flurry of activity in the next 4weeks.
Good question. I don't know! I left them to dry in my locker at work. (Long story) And I've not had the chance to bring them home yet.
I see that your frame has been overplated at the headstock, did you get this done because of the frame cracking or to prevent it, looks like a decent job and certainly good to be done prior to repaint My 900ss cracked and I repaired with a similar overplating and gusset repair, that was over 10 years ago and I’ve had no problems since Frame looks good in white by the way and a great thread to follow
It’s that question when doing a rebuild do you over plate that area for peace of mind before a crack might appear or leave as is.
