  1. Another legend gone. Very sad.

  2. You only had to look at Les Patterson and you were transfixed, waiting for the killer lines

  3. Len Goodman
    Strictly judge dies 78

    Dale Meeks
Biker grove/Emmerdale dies "heart failure" 48

  4. Sounds like suicide, reading the back story.

  5. RIP Len, always seemed like a character.

He used to get his Jag serviced in a garage where my best man is the workshop foreman. He tried to explain a problem to Len, who cut him short saying "Son, I know as much about gearboxes as you know about foxtrots." He did himself a disservice, as he definitely knew more about gearboxes than my mate knows about foxtrots.

  7. Bbc reporting heart failure ( source, his brother)

  8. In another article, his brother said he suffered from mental health issues, and that the doctors decided to put “heart failure” as the cause of death.

  9. I guess heart failure’s technically true. Kinda covers everything :D

  11. As if to dispel any doubts about his comic ability, the late Barry Humphries wrote his own obituary via his alter ego Dame Edna Everage. Absolute genius, RIP Barry & thanks for the laughs.

RIP Gordon Lightfoot. A fantastic storyteller in song; two of my favourites are below. Apparently, Bob Dylan held him in high regard, which is about as good a recommendation as you're going to get in that line of work. Thanks for the memories, one of which below will always remind me of a train journey through the Rockies.
