Worldsuperbikes Round 3 - Assen (spoilers)

  1. AB made a fantastic overtake in Race 3, not sure which corner..he may be small but he patently has cojones grandes!

  2. I think they are just saying it to make the story up, as they know most won't study practice times. Alex was only with them while they were scrapping, and he looked visibly on the limit, the sad fact is, there are 3 riders who are dominants, and one is on a bike that gives him the edge. To make matters worse I think Topraks bike ruins the strengths of the kawasaki, and the kawasaki ruins the strengths of the Yamaha, so actually they probably make it even worse when they are following.

    I don't really understand why Kawasaki and Yamaha haven't been given the extra 500 revs, unless they actually are at the limit of the bikes capability. I get that the V4 runs loads more revs as a stock road bike but they had theirs capped, but now they are winning every race maybe then need more cap.

  3. When you look how close the qualifying times are you think you’re going to be in for a decent spectacle but after 15 laps you may as well switch over. They need to do something about it and I appreciate that might upset the duc/ab supporters.
    You can see super sport going the same way very quickly too
     
  4. totally agree, Supersport wise. I couldn’t believe when the Uk teams running GSXR750’s said they can do half a season on a stock engine then just do a valve check…. The R6’s last 2 races then it’s a £5k engine rebuild, so I imagine next year there won’t be any 600’s out there

  6. if the racings good then I’d rather them all on f3 800, Panigale v2’s and gsxr750’s because teams can run them for reasonable money, but it looks like the Ducati is getting a bit dominant already, will see over the next rounds if all the Ducati riders are getting towards the front
     
  7. Never really took much notice tbh, but how do yamaha get round the production class thing if they only sell the r6 as a track bike these days?
     
  8. I can only guess that once a model has been sold for long enough to homologate it, it's done for ever.

  9. According to the FIM regulations, a Supersport bike can be raced for a maximum of 8 years after obtaining homologation. Andy
