V2 V2 Common Issues For Trackdays

  1. It really is getting a bit silly. The irony of not being able to go on a track because of noise pollution for neighbouring houses, yet you can sit outside their front door reving the tits off the bike at 110db, thats fine, nothing they can do.

  2. controversially though, we probably wouldn’t have the issues if people in general could apply a tiny bit of self regulation, for example just NOT fit those absolute garbage racefit or Austin racing drainpipes, that sound shit but are just loud…. If everyone was running nice ‘loud-ish’ quality pipes I don’t think the issue would have got as bad. I really don’t…. Same as cars, with people straightpiping them and fitting those igniters

  3. The standard V2 comes with an induction noise damper, if its a Tri-Options bike that will have been ditched.
I've got loads of them kicking around.

  4. when i bought my old fireblade it came with one of those racefit pipes, its was horrendous to ride, really dont know how people can ride with them.

  5. My 748 with Sil Carbon exhausts came in at 101db at Snetterton last Sunday. Was lucky I didn't have to faff about fitting the original 93kg silencers back on :joy:

  6. Did Cadwell today. JHS looking baffles in the akra's, blew 100db and it was cold out, so i think that actually usually increased the reading by a db. Happy with that!

  8. No idea tbh i was expecting 104 or something. But guy with the db meter said 100. I almost took the baffles out to get retested!

  9. I got on at Mallory on mine at 102 with closed end baffles. Then double black flagged at Donny with same set up. :poop:

  10. Donny will be great when we’re all on Electric Bikes

But I’m sure the nimby’s will still complain about something, maybe the tyre noise that they claim they can hear over the 1000db Rolls Royce high-bypass turbofan planes taking off nearby.
