748 Fuel Injector Connector. No Power

  1. Hi to all. Finally got to the bottom of fueling issue in horizontal cylinder. Fault lies in no power going to the injector connector itself. With regards to this fault what might be the next step to resolve this ?
    Thanks in advance

  2. New injector loom? I think I have a spare I may be willing to sell reasonably should you need one.

  4. These relays have two outputs ie 2 x pin 87. I think these supply each injector. It is a cheap part as well, so worth a try.

  5. The yellow relay is the main power latching relay. It does not feed individual injectors.

  6. Is this relay in question by the battery as i have been swapping the 2 main underseat relays with no joy & both testing fine through Guzzidiag ?

  7. Yes, it's by the battery. Left hand side if you're looking at the battery. Here is the wiring diagram. It's from a 916 but it'll do. 10343-1574616038-5e4830d752fff711001066c3efa7653e.jpg

  9. Fuel injector circuit. Injectors are powered by the ECU. Screenshot_20230426-205943~3.png

  10. If a relay under the seat was faulty you wouldn't have power to one injector.

  11. Doh ! Thank you for that information as i had been looking at the 2 underseat relays as possible culprits for injector feeds. Much appreciated mate

  12. No worries

  13. I'm starting to learn all about working on these bikes after many years of ownership & no troubles.
    Cheers mate

  14. Injectors, coils and fuel pump are fed with a permanent 12v feed from the ignition relay. The control for these comes from the ecu by the way of a switched earth.
If the rear injector is working, then it’s likely you’d be best starting at the loom on the throttle body or the MIL connector that hooks it up the the main loom. You’re looking at the 12v feed from the ignition relay, brown/white cable iirc and then the triggers from the ecu, the switched grounds.
