Suit design completed (she sent the wrong file for the gloves - both should be like the one on the left). I was hoping for more creative input as I am most definitely not particularly creative but in the end I had to come up with the design and colours, make my dogs image, etc. The greenish colour is actually going to be fluro yellow. I’m pleased with the design but it will be interesting to see how it looks in the flesh. I am told that I should have it before the end of April. The gloves and suit are all kangaroo skin, which will be a first for me. I’m also ordering some Daytona Security Evo boots to go with it - different base colours for each leg, so the boots are never going to be sold on… Hopefully these won’t give me foot cramp like my Dianese Axial In boots do.
The finished items! The fit was excellent first time so well done PSi for that. There’s no restrictions on movement either. If this rain would bugger off I could get out and start breaking the suit and boots in a bit. It’s not only the first time I have had a custom fit suit, but also the first time I’ve had custom fit gloves in kangaroo. They feel like they are already broken in.
Don’t worry, I’m in Team Go Slow. It’s also got a pocket for my Starbucks loyalty card (they said it was for a chest protector - idiots).
As an aside, I’m very pleased with the boots and they only took a few weeks to make them. Anyone over here in EU Land should give Tim at TTS Bike Shop a shout - old-fashioned levels of customer service, excellent communications and a good price. I’m so used to crap customer service that I’m over the moon when someone does it right. The quality of these is obvious and they are immediately comfortable, plus they do half sizes (I went a half size up for these).
Boots look mint! I'd have a pair but with my kack footed position I always grind the toes away. No matter how many times I have a word with myself about my foot position on the pegs before I go out, I get that ssrrrrraaaaatttchhhhh as I go round a corner.... I repair them with a new slider and araldite but I generally buy boots with a sacrificial element thrown in... Daytona's are too pricey for that.
