  1. I don't know any answers but happy to hear about your eyesight improvement.
also glad to read that your vision is doable because I thought it said double.

  2. thanks Nigel, I bought some Bridgestones from a chap who i rendezvoused with in Bristol, and he said if I was ever up for a ride into Wales then let him know, he said he didn't hang about though. :D often wondered if he's on here.

  3. Got these waterproof fuse holders and some other goodies for my project bike. Good UK place for boat & car/bike stuff:

Edit: Separate subject - nothing to do with the above :)
...plus a bloody Brexit import bill for £50 'cos I forgot to split my order for some far-too-expensive micro indicators from a different supplier in Germany. Grrrrrrrr :triumph:

  4. I am missing something here Keith - are they based in Germany? - have to admit I frown at companies that seem to go out of their way to hide their location - I ticked "site map" on above link and it took me to their catalogue so gave up.

  5. Shopped for a light weight summer jacket. Ended up in Primark and if I never have to go clothes shopping again …… it’ll be a day too soon. WTF are people on ? I had to take avoidance action to stop crashing in to about 12 individuals in the space of 100 yards because they’d got their head down and face glued to a phone screen. Andy

  8. Hmm, I only ride with those I know well which is a long time friend from our hardcore cycling days. I’ve encountered those who claim to ride well and tbh it’s a Red flag for me, there’s no fun to be had in riding to someone else limits whether that be the upper or lower.

I keep my own speed and don’t respond to be caught up or passed, I ride for me which I would only describe as spirited.

However should you ever plan on your own trip into Shropshire/Wales hit me up I may be free on a particular day and reduce the bind of finding nice roads to squirrel about on.

  10. i got stung on a pair of forks similarly and I haven't ordered from Germany since.

  11. Yes I’m cautious now with online ‘bargains’, seems a significant majority hide where they’re based.

  12. There was no 'hiding' in my case, simply over-eagerness and lack of forethought!

  13. Oh well we live and learn….

  14. After 180 days commuting on my BMW R1150RT because 180 days all below 20 degrees celsius in NL.
I took the MTS1100S for a commuting ride... ....with an original Ducati "comfort seat". NOT!
Feels like a piece of wood compared to the BMW standard seat...
Suspension is F....ng stiff even at its lowest setting.. a bloody bumpy ride!
However.. This machine is a tiny nimble scooter.. so small compared to the BMW "tank"
Enjoyed every kilometer, amazed again with the torque and acceleration... cheers!

  15. Sorry to read this.

One of our group felt unwell and we ‘forced’ him to seek attention. He’s today had a blood transfusion and likely to remain in hospital for 8 weeks minimum.

Too complicated to explain, but we’re sort of carrying on with the trip and will return to recover his bike and then him at a later stage.

  17. How you doing @Multirider75

  18. Had a PETCT scan yesterday because my last CT scan was showing that my cancer had returned in several places. My oncologist wants to have a clear picture of what is happening within my body and then he will decide what further treatment to give me.It’s disappointing because last year the cancer had responded to treatment.
