Quality thread. i am trying to watch it to get motivated again to get back out. since i passed by bike test it has taken a hit and i have not got back into it.
I've not seen a lot so far apart from sitting down waiting for the final sprint yesterday when Cav got bowled out by a freak wave.
We have the ladies tdF passing through our village in a few months. Right in front of the house. Not really in to biking…but ladies in lycra? BBQ, beer, seats on the upstairs balcony planned….
I’m not sure after seeing the roads our continental cousins ride it would encourage more cycling. I try and get out if there’s no real time to take in a hoon if the day is nice for a couple of hours, my hardcore days are long gone.
Ive only really started watching the cycling since ive been working from home (5 years or so) and able to have eurosport on all afternoon but i actually enjoy the giro mountain stages more than the tdf (pls dont shoot the messanger!). They always look so much more severe (barring alpe d'huez etc).
Same for me as well , i prefer it to the tour. the La Vuelta is one for a laugh and just savage for the sake of good TV
Slightly better than the previous days stage yesterday! I get Remco was okay with giving up the pink jersey but why didn’t Ineos or Jumbo V attack when he was isolated towards the end? Making it too easy for him from my admittedly noob view.
I've not seen the highlights yet, but i bet they've got the time moreorless under control which he lost yesterday.
