V4 New Wheel Barrow Akra Exhaust Availability?

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Chillo, Apr 23, 2023.

  1. Does anyone know of any in stock availability of the new Akra ‘wheel barrow’ for the v4r?

  2. I’ll ask my mate. He’s got for his… Ducati Glasgow supplied his V4R. Maybe give them a call…

  10. For me £7500 is ridiculous for an exhaust, particularly when you have seen the power that can be made from a variety of 'cheaper' makes.
There is no doubt it does look pretty but study it further and a few things jumped out at me..
Here are a 1299, V4 and the Aruba race bike wheelbarrows from the side and rear. I don't like just how wide the V4 one is wider than the 1299 which was wide. Yet the race bike has the silencers much more inboard and for me looks a heap load better.
Secondly the £7500 exhaust pipe size from by your right foot up to the tail exit is 48mm...
no wonder they covered it with a big carbon shroud!
thirdly the cans are welded to the pipework. Yes the baffles fit in the end and are removable, but damage a can and you have to buy the whole rear section back to by your right foot, and that's over £3000 on its own without the carbon shroud!

  11. Yep they are trying to take the piss!
I’m pretty sure the retail for this system on the sp2 etc was nowhere near what Ducati hoiked it to for the R!

  12. TBH the price of Titanium has gone through the roof, the systems we had on order went up in price after they were ordered & Ducati wouldn't honor the original price!!!

  13. Titanium isn’t cheap I know and there’s a fair lump of it, skilfully welded up etc too but it isn’t 7 and a half grand!! Pisstake! I’ve decided to not bother on the new bike! Yes it looks trick and goodness knows how I’ll manage without the extra bhp but I’ll keep it stock for now, I’ve got std system on my 19 V4r and it’s fine, sounds great and not overly loud , if the come down in cost I’ll reconsider but it’s doubtful they will

  14. Just recently fitted the Termi D200 Titanium on The V4 and believe me it was easy enough to fit, getting the old exhaust off was a nightmare, there was a bit of fettling needed to get the Evotech tail tidy to fit, but it might be more cost effective than the Akra IMG_0375.jpeg IMG_0371.jpeg
