Went for my first flight in a light aircraft yesterday. It was as a Piper Warrior. Flew out of Perth Airport and buzzed around for a while in glorious sunshine with very little wind. It’s a small and simple plane but even so … As well as just taking in the view, we did some steep banking and nosing over, where you go into free fall, all good fun. Me on the left and my friends Shammy, pilot, and Mike in the back. Photos of scenery rarely capture what you experience but here we go. A great day.
Yesterday, such a nice day I rode over to Aberystwyth for an Ice cream then rode home. I wanted to see the sea!
While at Perth Airport I saw this ¾ scale replica of a spitfire. Obviously didn’t have a Merlin engine, but what it did have sounded pretty good. I think the yellow thing is an autogyro.
No. The skies were very busy, being the best flying day in ages, so Shammy was constantly on the radio giving our position, getting other aircraft positions and making course adjustments to stay clear of other planes, parachute jump sites and glider sites. I was happy to let him handle all that.
Desperate to get out on the bike, perfect weather for it, but I’ve put my back out with all the coughing, so will just spend the day lying in the garden. Could be worse, I suppose.
I just ignore it and get gives up and fly's off, but when the missus feeds it, it fecken comes back for lunch, FFS.
Bloody things shat all over my mini yesterday That's just the front all down the drivers side panels window rear 1/4 even the tyres on the os
Your one does look cute though, whereas mine looks like a prototype goonie bird. One shat on the car yesterday. Christ what a mess! So we went through the carwash at Sainsburys. And there was another sitting on a lamppost just the other side. Luckily that one left us alone, but we did wonder if it was on commission.
