Er... Did I know you then? LOL Thinking about it my bikes were always less than 3 years old (thats where all my money went) so I never had an MOT done back in the day.
@Jez900ie - My old man had one of them to get to work and back. On weekends he let me mess around on it on the local fields. How much are you selling it for, just curious what they are worth nowadays, more sentimental reasons for owning one if I bought one I think.
Its a fun bike to run around on locally though I also took it up to the Lakes for a longer trip. Its no museum/ garage queen bike, but its been extensively restored. The engine was rebuilt with mains/ rebore piston/rings brake shoes & clutch, rejetted carb, etc by a classic dealer about 1500 miles ago. Its also got new old stock wiring harnesses, mudguards, seat, lights, cables plus chain & sprockets etc. New paint too obviously. The exhaust downpipe has been welded and its the one part thats a bit shabby. But it works perfectly and I wanted the bike to ride so it was fine for me. It's still in dry storage for winter as I've been busy messing about with a boat! These sell on eBay unrestored & imported from the USA for around £1200 - £1500. Make me an offer and come and collect it (with V5 in my name). PS. Remember bikes always look better in pics, and its 40 years old.
