  1. It's all on and lined up nicely after a bit of wriggling. Those nuts were done very carefully - thanks.
    Good lord its flippin' loud!
The kit came with a tube/housing for the servo cable, which Ive sorted, but now Ive got an engine warning light which Im guessing is because the servo is disengaged?

  2. That's extremely likely - you'll need a £40 Healtech device.

  3. Let’s see pictures

  4. Yup they do say if it’s your doing a de cat you need a proper silencer, as all the baffling is in the OE cat & the end pipe on OE is straight through.

  5. No problem, I'll pop some pics on at the weekend. Thanks for the advice, i'll give them a ring. really appreciate the help.
I'd like to keep the standard can. It's loud but in a good way!

  6. Thread resurrection :astonished:

How do you find it? I'm thinking about this as an option. With an Arrow Indy slip on.

not much info out there on these... I would like some first hand knowledge.

  7. I fitted a LV decat to my 1200 along with an Akra can. The end of the decat needed ~10mm cutting off for the can to sit properly with the securing bracket and locating PIN, I then put one of these inside the Akra can before putting on the decat pipe.

It holds in just fine and brings the noise into the acceptable bracket and actually sounds great. When on the road my mate says it sounds really nice and not offensive.

  8. Did the Akra can already have a db killer, Stuart?

  9. No - it was straight through - same as the OEM Termi that was fitted to the OEM cat box.

  12. I fitted an Akra full system. Absolutely fantastic. Transforms the bike and a little louder but not much. I certainly don’t like ’too loud’ , it isn’t.

In my opinion, sounds great, goes great, looks great. Best mod I’ve done to it.

  13. I would love to fit the full Akrapovič system but it seems a little overkill using titanium, Also as I am a Yorkshireman the price difference (£1060 against £170) is huge I could still stick the Akrapovič slip on the end and many wouldn't know the difference.

I was mainly asking about the build quality / welds? would he get it again if given the choice.

The Vid you posted looks to give it great reviews. Especially reading his follow up comments. I think I'll give it a go. I just need to decide on an end can that will silence a little. Still thinking the Arrow Indy or the longer Termi. Hopefully I'll find a pre loved one :D

  14. Will that dominator de cat work with the original exhaust and a db killer?

  15. Yes, it will be pretty loud though. The original slip on is just a through pipe with fancy bits on the outside. (Would be much more tolerable with an aftermarket slip on)

  16. I keep looking at it but wimp out, the thought of a loud exhaust on a long run fills me with dread.

  17. If you wanted to keep the original slip on box it would be obscenely loud.
