Consider the wild flower option for that overgrown section at the end of the garden. It will be fabulous for wild life and provide a wonderful backdrop when you're sitting out on the lawn.
I'd use the yellow rattle pioneer method. Slower but more natural.

Looks like a nice flat garden, I wish the ones I look after here were like that instead of on hillsides with lots of stones and old tree stumps!
Are you sure you want all of the cuttings spraying onto the well kept borders? If its okay, go with the John Deere. If not, consider a Honda with a rear collector box so you can empty the cuttings at the end of the garden. If it occasionally gets too long, the John Deere will be a better bet than the Husqvarna.
I have used a Honda for three years (semi commercial) and just changed to a side ejector. Only because it is used on fairly rough terrain and the rear ejection Honda could jam with very long grass ( knee length, full of weeds and sometimes wet!) , it was though perfect for ‘proper gardens’.

 

ive been there this time last year and decided to go for mountfield as it was half the price and come with 5 year warranty , dealer who delivered it had a right laugh when he looked at my garden with 5 acre of grass to be cut. he told me i should have gone for something bogger/better . now after a year this is exactly what i am going to do. so my advise would be just buy totally biggest and best you can afford or just like me you will be buying twice!
