Been planning one of these on and off for a while. Stuck a unrealistic bid on and had sort of forgot about it. Was surprised when the listing ended and I was highest bidder. Well happy. Needs a bit of tidying up but at 4500 miles wouldn’t take much.
That looks a great bargain for sure, I wonder why such low mileage on a 13 year old bike though, how can you not ride such a great bike? My V4 PP is a year old next month and has already covered 12.5k, I realise it's probably worthless now though , my 2018 1260S has done 52k, I guess I'll have to pay someone to take it away
Thanks, it’s very lumpy, and I think maybe missing on a constant throttle in town. I’m hoping fresh plugs will cure it. It’s fin under acceleration and higher speeds.
They are a little bit lumpy/snatchy in town but nothing excessive like a cylinder dropping out. There are some really knowledgeable people on here so hopefully they can help you get to the bottom of the misfire. Good luck.
If the previous owner didn’t change the sprockets then this is a big help, also I added some Fat Duc modules which really helped low speed running (but made fuel consumption higher). https://www.webbikeworld.com/fat-duc-o2-manipulator/
Congratulations - definitely a bargain with some the upgrades too. The misfire is likely to be the front plug lead - swop for a new one along with the spark plug. Dropping a tooth on the front sprocket really helps with the low down control too.
Looks a good example, has it been mapped for the aftermarket exhaust ? If not, I have the FATDUCS for sale. That should sort the rough running at low revs out.
Was told it has race ecu to suit the exhaust but I’m not sure on that. I replaced the plugs last night and no better. I’m sceptical that +2 rear sprocket will fix it, this seems like it’s running badly rather than gearing. I will check my ecu and may be interested @Mick Olver
