Spent all morning looking for somewhere that sold engine oil (silly me thought it would be a straightforward task), I went in a Halfords for the first time in years and they are now just a big empty room with a counter in the middle, f**kin useless. Finally found something suitable, then serviced the engine on the boat ready to be splashed Sunday.
After painting the front door…( badly ) I decided it was far too nice and sunny to stay at home, so had to have a little bimble on the Kawasaki for a coffee and cake somewhere,..ended up at the Velveteen Rabbit at Great Ayton Scoffed these while the flies on my visor were getting a soak… Tomorrow I have the 899 booked in with Nelly for its 30,000 mile Desmo service, looking forward to meeting Nelly and getting the bike a good service,….not looking forward to the 123 mile slap down the A1 / M1 to get there, really wish the Pani had cruise control
Just relaxing today as the back's not ready for any motorbikes at the minute, with all these dry warm days slipping by it's a bummer for sure. i think this is a Cinnabar.
Sorry to hear your back is preventing you from riding with all this warm weather we are enjoying now. Get well soon my friend.
agree with ariel Pete - hope it's a short-lived one. we are in a similar boat it seems, but driving to Oxford tomorrow so
A really rather splendid 105 miles out on the superlight tonight. For a thirty year old bike she can lift her skirt up and boogie when she wants too.
I down to one vehicle at the minute which is the Defender, most challenging climbing onboard and reversing the process, i've started stretching up on the roof gutters and lowering my spine towards the ground which sort of help matters, i'd one or two strange looks so far. GLW your journey tomorrow.
Now if Adam @Advikaz ( Mr Muscles ) was around he'd have picked that up & placed it on the rock for The photograph of the day.
Two very small plumbing jobs that needed addressing before the weekend, the back just about coped. also this tasty left hooker Porsche.
