I'd like to be Bradders but have commitments this weekend Im afraid. If I don't see you before hand I'll see you at the September ARD though won't I.....you'll need to see how the Multi goes on track I assume
OI! Get your own thread! That looks bloody lovely Dave. Liking the matte carbon. Does the wrap stand up to the heat from the exhaust OK? I'll be up soon to pick up that seat pad btw.
It withstands the heat to a degree BUT I have since put some foil covered heatproof matting in the areas that suffered a bit. TBH it is only where the wrap is pushed down when fitting. Note to self: install heat proof matt before wrapping next time.
Got the wrap off ebay total cost with enough do do at least the side panels again was £35..... **3D Carbon Fibre Vinyl Sheet Wrap Sticker Film** | eBay
OK its all done. I have a friend who working in the sign-writing business who's going to get me some off-cuts of white for number boards. He's also going to cut some oval ones for the side fairings and do the Ducati logo......might even have a smattering of carbon fibre finish in there too. At the moment I'm liking the red lowers so they stay till I feel like investing an evening in black wrapping
Neighbours garden wall so I can't be arsed and my wife promised to do the decking 3 years ago..... I'm holding her to it!
I found some time this afternoon to fit all the track fairings which were a surprising good fit! Just waiting on the number boards and Ducati logo for the side panels and we'll be just about there. It looks white in these pictures but the silver finish looks pretty good. More pics to follow with finishing touches. Oh and I'm still not 100% convinced by the red lower fairings......I might have to get some matte black
I'm thinking you might be right....Black with a silver pinstripe to match the lower part of the petrol tank. But I think I'd play that one out in photoshop first!
Looks brilliant. It works so well with the stock 2013 tank being unpainted. Matt black lowers will work better I reckon, again tying in with the tank and the side panels etc. It looks cracking and give you the option of the number boards and decals that just don't work on the 2013 Corse paintjob. Very impressed and very envious! I love my 2013 paintjob, but really like the idea of having a quick to fit alternative for trackdays and just if you feel like swapping them for a few weeks. Nice job!
