Went out last night with some lovely friends to their favourite Indian restaurant. Great company (& now, massive wine hangover) but I wonder sometimes how fortunate I am to have tasted amazing, quality food in my time. Unfortunately last night wasn't one of them All dishes came with the same orange 'sauce' which tasted like it was out of a can! First-world problems, eh
Said a final goodbye to an old mate today, been unable to get out on the bike in this good weather, I’ll be glad to see the back of this week!
where I Bristol should I now avoid….!? The Mint Rooms in Bath is a nice Indian restaurant when I went there for my birthday a year or two back.
I’ve been catching up on paperwork, putting a new number plate on my bike and tidying the house up as a friend is coming to stay for the weekend
Salkaara in Henleaze. The Salkaara on Gloucester Rd is a lot better (not a recommendation, just a lot better) as they do decent-ish South Indian offerings. Lots of good stuff has suffered here during Covid. Need to get out and try a few more of the survivors...
Got back from Alicante, jet lagged as hell. Good to get back to Europe again even if the weather was crap on the last day.
spent the day doing pretty much the same thing all week. staring at the clock all day while muttering "mon tae f..k man" we had 6 weeks of scortchio but too busy to get my biking head on. then, i taxed em. guess what? it pished down for two weeks. buuuut it's been scortchio for the last week so, i've been moulding my self into 848 shapes. first proper use of it for several years. superb. loving it again.
Popped into a friend for a natter as they're travelling to Italy tomorrow,, and then relaxed in the chair with an icepack on the back watching The Giro with breathtaking scenery.
Quick ride out on the 899 earlier and now it’s ear plug time as I can hear every word of the festival that’s on over a mile away. Yes I’m a miserable git
