TT Worldwise race series.

  1. Momentum is gathering , if this comes into fruition , and is televised as good or better than ITV4's coverage of the TT itself , will it overshadow Motogp and show the general public that the Real Racers are road based as opposed to track.

The only downside I see is live screening of fatalities, something inevitable with road racing I think there would have to be a short time delay.

  2. A great idea and with the right support the series will go ahead. Road racing is very exciting stuff, just watch the Irish stuff on the iplayer. Will it overshadow MotoGP? Never, the 'pinnacle' will always be the most watched, even if the racing isn't as good

  3. Hmmm I should have put worldwide in the header, Doh! , will motogp be the most watched what with Dorna's limiting the market here with the BT deal, if they are the same in other countries then they could play into the hands of a better televised more exciting "dangerous" product.

  4. I seriously hope Dorna fall firmly on the fat faces!

  5. It'll be interesting to see which countries allow racing on their roads because there aren't too many at the moment. Belgium, The Czech Republic and Germany certainly do but I'm not certain we'd get a round on mainland UK. Bring it on, I love watching racing on public roads and I get my next fix in Belgium over the bank holiday weekend.

  6. Well Ireland would be another option , and if it gets the sort of credence that the TT has , then I'm sure other countries would take a second look.

  7. I'm sure much of the world would welcome an event if it brought in cash.

  8. I didn't bother including Ireland in my list of countries because we all know they're barking mad over there.

I'd love to see a proper road circuit that took in a few of the classic alpine passes in a 30 or 40 mile lap and I'd pay any amount of money to watch top racers giving it everything down the Grimsel :upyeah:
