Ducati Sos Function Or Similar App?

  1. Was looking to replace my written off GS with a Multi V4S. I do travel alone in the main and having been hit by a Spanish driver the BMW SOS function worked superbly. It calls you on the bike as soon as it detects the bike is down. If you dont answer then it automatically sends first responders to your location. It was invaluable in my circumstance
I see Triumph are/have launched an app but havent looked into how that one works.

The wife is very keen for me to have it on my next bike

Obvious question is, do Ducati have something similar within an app or anybody subscribe to a third party app that does something similar? Im doubting Ducati do one unless its hidden away in google somewhere.

  2. If your insurer requires a “tracker” to be fitted, Biketrac offer a bike down alert function, where their monitoring centre will contact your ICE number. Not the same as the BMW but better than nothing. Andy

  3. If Ducati did one, it would not be 'free'.

I think the new iPhones have a similar feature.

  4. Thanks for the reply. They do. I think you have to physically press the side button 4/5 times to get it to work though so could be difficult if injured.

  5. Im sure the BMW one is included in a price package somewhere.

Googling it seems to show that the EU will be rolling out that it is fitted to all vehicles in the future

  6. Thanks for this. I will have a look at it.

  7. Android has the same feature...JFI
