  3. For all the money he spent on the bodykit, split rim wheels, lowering and respray, he probably could have bought an M3 :bucktooth:

  7. I must join in this merriment. I’m in Lagos tomorrow so plenty of potential to add to this thread. Trouble is it often goes past the realms of shitter of a car and into the realms of impressive ingenuity from people with absolutely fuck all. Stay tuned :)

And if you’re a white man taking pictures, you have to be careful. Personally I generally refrain. They know you’re taking the piss and will react accordingly :astonished::fist::fist::dizzy:

You need to click the link and watch the video to appreciate the true extent of the work and imagination that has gone into keeping this death trap going o_O

  10. Doh, link won’t work… it’ll be my end…

I was recently stuck in a Lagos ‘go slow’ alongside a petrol tanker. There was a young lad standing behind the cab- between the cab and the bowser. Every time they came to a stop, he’d jump down and lob a massive chock of wood behind the bowser tyre… The truck had no brakes. It was a relief when we could pull away from it :astonished:

  11. The jalopy I posted also requires a second man standing in a similar position to the young brake urchin you referred to, whose job it is to keep the coolant bucket (yes, bucket) topped up. Once the driver has locked the door with a nail, he has to basically thread himself around various bits of rusty and jagged metal structures into the cab (which has no floor) and then as well as driving the thing, has to hold the hose which runs from the coolant bucket in the neck of the radiator. :bucktooth:

  12. A mate of mine who was somewhere in central Africa, Uganda/Congo I don't recall where, had a tale whereby he saw a vehicle have one it's front wheels ripped off when the puddle he drove through was in fact a flooded man hole without the cover...
