  2. As a Breeder, the hardest part is letting puppies go when they're ready. The best part is keeping in touch with them all and seeing them grow into happy adults. Dead proud of all of them. I arrange a 'meet-up' and walk (our 'puppies' and their hoomans) a couple of times each year (obv it ends at a pub :D). The last one was 'Lathkildale', with start and finish at Monyash. 13 Border Collies made for quite a sight [IMG]

  4. Sounds like the name of a delta blues singer. My mate has a gorgeous brindle coloured Saluki based Lurcher called Gracie, but as I can't find any photos of her, the forum will have to make do with one of Iggy the Shoe Monster instead.

  7. 15 years is some age, but I bet that’s the last thing on your mind at the moment. I’m really sorry for your loss.

  11. We have a 'Grace' (well...you wouldn't expect anything else from me, would you? ;)). Her posh name is 'Calareto Amazing Grace'. One of our Meg's girls that (due to sad circumstances after whelping) I raised by hand from day 1, feeding her every 3 hours with a home-modified syringe, until she weaned around wk3.

  12. Ugh. Sorry to read this.

  13. Sorry to hear this, a good age but that's no consolation for losing a faithful hound. Condolences.

  14. Oh no… Awful when they check out

I recently got my elderly parents a staffie pup (girlie) to cheer the house up a bit. She’s 2 now and she’s the 100% focal point of the house, my parents absolutely adore her. I know this might not sound right but a part of me hopes she outlives them because of the emotional devastation she’ll cause if she goes first… eeek…

  15. Anyone get their dog food online ?

    recommend a site ?

  16. the wife gets it from amazon. saves a fortune as our GSD needs a special diet. she also gets his medication online too. which cost £240 a month which is half price compared to the vet.

  17. Trying to find some decent food for our GSD and Great Dane, the Dane especially, will see if Amazon do it when I find one.

we use pet drugs online for flea treatments when needed, sod paying vets prices.
