I’ve got the same tiles on my step and the wife’s never slipped on them, I’m going to try butter on them next.
I've got a horrendously expensive computer case here, mostly smoked glass, black chassis with red screws and fascia. Trouble is the only reason to build it is I've got all the components. It would be pretty and pretty pointless. Like a one-legged man at an arse kicking contest. Not that the one-legged man is pretty; or, for that matter, the arse kicking contest. Just sayin'.
Walked part of the Fife Coastal Path, between Lower Largo and Elie, today. It was a stunning day. Fife has some really stunning beaches and yet everyone seems to want to go to Aberdour beach which ain’t all that. There are four long and quiet beaches on the section we did and all much nicer than Aberdour. Looking back towards Lower Largo. Above the Chain Walk looking towards Ellie. The chain walk is mild via ferata kind of thing that is fun but the views are better from the cliff tops. View over Elie golf course towards Earls Ferry and Elie. A raft of Eider Ducks with lots of ducklings and cormorants on the rocks behind. It was great to see because the last time I did this route the beaches were covered with bird flu casualties. Beach huts on Elie beach. This is quite a new thing in Fife. Hut owned by local womans’ wild swimming club.
today, i decided to leave @eltoro and his slow mo mates and ride with another group from DM out to Rannoch station for lunch. another great bunch. another great day. scortchio.
I've paid in some money into the bank this morning, good old fashioned banking where you speak with a human. One for the boy racers, perhaps the coffee table at Box when having a natter.
Your reply peaked my interest so I had a look. Could find a sale price but you can hire one for £45 per day. Not ridiculously expensive but they are tiny.
That's not unreasonable money for safe keeping of your own personal goods and changing your swimming trunks over.
Congratulations @Ducbird and "Duc-chick". Hope you both have a lovely day and many more in good health.
as Sev calls it, doing some motorbike Tetris today plus checking tyre pressures, battery etc for MOT on Thursday, by hook or by crook, i've got to try it anyway.
Cracking ride over to Keswick today, Went from Yarm and up to Alston/ Hartside heights and down into Keswick, bit of a downer as I approached the top of Hartside I could see the air ambulance helicopter circling looking for a landing spot, sure enough about 3 miles off the summit down towards Penrith side, a biker was laid out on the grass verge being attended to by about 5 people, older CBR1000 Fireblade leaning against the fence, didn’t look damaged at all , hope that chaps okay Got to Keswick just after 11:00 am and the weather was unbelievable, just about 20c and wall to wall sunshine, had a nice wander around and a spot of lunch, then I headed off to Ambleside intending to take the Kirkstone pass route home, but the pass road had been closed..! So I had to head towards Kendal and up the A385? to Tebay, hit a massive really slow moving traffic queue about 3 miles long heading down into Kirkby Stephen, so I carefully filtered ( ahem ) my way to the front and discovered why,..two horse drawn caravans on their way to the Gypsy fair at Appelby! Loads of em parked at the side of the road between Kirkby Stephen and Brough, really were creating mayhem with traffic jams, thank God I was on the bike . Home about 4:30 pm covered in flies, just under 200 miles, tired but happy at a brilliant sunny day out
