Hi Yes I've just got back left on the 2nd June and returned early this morning. Fantastic weather and records broken broken.
MD is on fire. Surely he’s got a chance of taking uncle Joey’s record by the end of the week. And 2 130 laps on Supersports from him and Hickey…..wow
just for info was chatting to a fella earlier and they came in a van with 4 bikes in the back came to £800 spilt 4 ways
Im sure he’s a nice chap. Just into his bikes and racing and doesn’t relish the attention, interviews etc
I don't take a lot of pictures, I much prefer to watch the racing and listen to the radio bit grabbed a couple of snaps of MD in the 600 race today from Sarah's cottage....
lovely shots... McGuiness made a comment the other day about upping his commitment and being 'knee down more' when you look at MD ride you can just see the different level of commitment can't you?
There's no doubt about it, he's ironed out the creases from the previous early years, the rest of the field should be worried based on this performance. the question's what number do you think he's going set on the all time hit list, plus forty with a little bit of luck over the next ten years or other.?
i found an absolute blinder of a spot on the start line, no more than 5 or 6 metres from it they wanted £50 for the stands, free of course, if you want to know where let me know
I honestly thought after the superstock win that hicky would win the senior, I think now it’s a slam dunk for MD to take the senior, he’s just putting it all together tbf! can he break Joeys record this week? Or Mcguiness? Weren’t they circa 27?
I wouldn't bet against Peter taking the ultimate race with his mindset and speed, but certainly they have unestimated MD this year for sure. 26 and 23 respectively.
It’ll be down to who has the most reliable motorcycle, nigh on 228 miles, absolutely flat out for an hour and three quarters. One hell of an ask. Andy
As a fan of Michael I believe Peter's team will figure out the kinks with the big bike and will take the senior but it will be tight. Massive respect to all the riders and teams, I feel very lucky to watch and have been on the island a few times. Having said that. Go MD, equal Joeys record and hopefully I can be on the island when he breaks it. Cheers all
Back in the office today....pretty sure i was on the SeaCat with some of you lot last night....it was quiet but the racing was great, coupled with us finding better viewing points than ever before...
Definitely hope MD equals the record then breaks it next yr when we're on the Island purely for selfish reasons ha.ha.. Think Hicky will take the next stock race and it will be down to bike reliability and FHO sorting out the superbike to see who comes out on top in the senior, Still think Hicky has the beating of MD on the big bikes.but MD will certainly push him to probably a new lap record.
I have to agree, I'd love to see Dunlop bag the senior but I think Hicky will be very difficult to beat, but not impossible! MD should bag the next twins race if bike reliability holds up. Can't see Hicky being beaten on the stocker. Senior is going to be tight though, MD's Honda is a great package.
