Hello everyone! I’ve got a couple of questions.. firstly is it normal to have to add oil to a 2021 Ducati v4 street fighter after only having it serviced about 5 weeks ago and only doing roughly a few hundred miles ? Secondly I normally switch off the bike using the key, but I was watching an American you tube video where a Ducati dealer was explaining to a new customer purchasing a street fighter to not switch off the bike using the key because Ducati say it could mess with the bikes computer, would that be right ?
If there’s no obvious burning of oil (smoke) and no oil leaks then it should be fine. Maybe the dealer didn’t put quite enough in during service, which isn’t unheard of. I’m not sure on that model regards key/cut off but I’ve always always turned off all bikes with key.
Uh sorry wtf.. lesson learned and I do check the oil before every ride, and haven’t really noticed a drop in the oil levels, but as you’ve suggested I will start to record the level from now on and I’ll also edit the post.♂️
