Hi All, As well as my Ducatis, I have a little Honda Varadero 125 which is my runabout sometimes. It's been stood for 18 months and when I returned to it had ZERO front brake. Have tried to bleed system but can't get any pressure at lever at all. It'll barely pump fluid at all with beed niple open. What's the most likely cause? Master piston or seals? Any advice appreciated. Thanks! KW
Managed to fix this. For anyone with a similar problem, the INSTANT fix was to reverse-bleed the lines. i.e. take a syringe (I got one from a chef's shop) and pump brake fluid IN through the bleed nipple. Worked like a charm. Youtube searcbh Reverse Bleed brakes for details.
I've used a syringe before and it worked ok. The best results I've had though was with a vacuum gun type bleeder at the nipple. Think I only paid about £12 on the bay for it. Worked every time so far and quick too. I spent hours before trying to get my RD brakes bleed.
