Folded and ironed clothes, then watched MotoGP for the rest of the day. Moto3 was edge of the seat stuff.
Made breakfast for our visitors before they headed home, then went out on the bike for 3 hours. Bloody marvellous
Spent most of the day lying around in the garden. Did a couple of jobs out there, then fired up the bbq.
Rode out to Church Stretton for a FEB at The Holly Bush cafe, my lad on his new to him Aprilia MX125. Rest of the day working through the electrical faults it has, it may well get torched along with the M900 a week next Sunday.
Today I went out for a jaunt on ythe ST4. It was glorious weather on the south coast. I went in a loop Worthing, Arundel, Amberley, Storrington, Coolham, A272, then A24 down to Washington roundabout, left through to Shoreham where it started raining, then back to Worthing. Lovely ride out and, due to the heat I got away with body Armour over just a T-shirt. I have no idea how protective the body armour is and I have no intention of testing it but it's got to be better than nothing. It came from ebay 'Men's Motorcycle Motorbike Motocross Body Armour spine Protector Guard Jacket' and they are £25.00. (I have nothing to do with the seller just thought I'd let you know in case it was of interest) Just a thought, if you are interested, the sizing is weird. I am normally XL (maybe 2XL) but for this I had to get 4XL. Take care.
Share your pain re the heat; took on over 4 litres of fluid during and after today's round. The good news was that a 36 hole total of 145 nett got me 3rd place in the overall nett competition and 1st place nett in the old gits category.
Good work! I’m back with the pro on Friday and I’m quite lazy with my practice (prefer to play), so committed to 100 balls a day for a full week and have to say, the swing is coming on and seeing less duffs per 100 so far. Once I have the swing, just need to pass it through the bag, or my 7 iron will be worn out
might not be that palatable on this thread but found a small corn on the "ball" of my foot, roughly in the middle. I remembered from the age of around 16 that this could mean a thorn or foreign body below so set about removing corn and having a bloody dig. It was difficult - worst bit was onset of cramp a few times due to twisting foot so unnaturally. Got a few flecks out but not sure i've got the lot, time will tell. Spared you the pictures.
Got very close to getting wet this weekend. Saturday revealed the rudders would not lockdown, so back home with them and after much fiddling about the problem seems resolved. Returned to the waterside today and hoisted the mast, buggered about with the rigging, remounted both rudders, and sunbathed. Not a breath of breeze! Its a beautiful place... BTW - Diesel Mini towed brilliantly, and it hardly dented the fuel consumption. Totally recommended for a cheap, do most everything runabout
Tried a bit of gardening this morning but it was too hot and too many horseflies about so sat on my arse all day complaining it’s too hot instead. It’s now pissing down so I’ve been out standing in the rain like a weirdo
Our cut throughs in Staffordshire to Church Stretton got a little buggered this morning and on our return long queues.
Mrs Twinlover is interested in buying a mini. Her daily routine involves a 1km drive to work and the same back again. Does the diesel cause any problems with such usage, ie the dpf etc etc?
I've only had mine two months, so I couldn't really say. I do know that you can force it to do DPF clean using a scanner though so that might be something to consider? They are surprisingly nippy and the drive is fun through twisty roads, so perhaps you could give it a thrash for her once in a while if she isn't up for that herself!
