  1. Maybe they just couldn’t? :D

  2. Had a full English, rode my bike, got about halfway down France, ate a 5 course meal and drank all they had to offer.

  5. Got the 899 out and rode along the Severn estuary to Chepstow then up the Wye valley to a little place called Ross on Wye then back to Malvern. Wasn’t sure the bike would like the heat but it stayed surprisingly cool and it was lots of stop start traffic.

  6. Moaned that it's too hot about 4 million times so far... followed by my usual rant about how the heat is more bearable in spain as it's not as Muggy... so british!

  9. Just filled in a NIP !

The second time I’ve come back from a two week holiday in Cornwall to find a NIP in the post, the previous was 2014 in the campervan on the A303. This time a variable speed limit on the M5. I’m usually v careful around the ever changing speeds on urban motorways.

    A coincidence but both were 68 in a 60.

  10. Apart from working I’ve assembled my new gas BBQ
Managed to secure a gas bottle, full for £20 which seemed a bargain looking on eBay and gumtree.
All set for a Father’s Day family get together

  11. Golf lesson, picked up my new irons and then a round with my son as an early Fathers Day treat.

    Played like a god.

Fish and chips for dinner, with a few beers and settling in to watch a film.

  12. More hooning around France on empty roads. And had a seven course dinner washed down with an assortment of fine wines and champagnes.

  13. @Wasted Time Lord I've read several Vietnam war books over the years, a couple by journalists covering the war. Is it any good? Would be be interested in your opinion.

  14. Britain's on top of the world as usual, and for me it makes no difference who's in power as they're all useless.

  16. Surely if you’ve taken out the wall you’ve replaced the need for keys

  19. It's funny you've mentioned that, i paced myself with the wall, felling three small trees, plus a few other landscape back breaking excercises. All good at the minute ( fingers crossed ) but not perfect for bike rides this weekend as i'm back down there next week for fencing and a drive extension and just don't want to let the chap down with pushing my luck.
