So what have you done today..?

  1. depending what is wrong with your back, you are right to carefully check it out the next day because what with adrenaline and the bodies ability to temporarily overcome stuff, you could be far far worse tomorrow.

  2. Booked our first ever late summer trip to Turkey.

  3. In many aspects the results of the two governments the UK chooses between -not forgetting the coalition- are equally mediocre to catastrophic. But that has not been the case when comparisons of the NHS performance and therefore health of the people are concerned. LAB have always done a far better job of improving the service provided, in every respect.

It is true that the results are in no small part relative to the monies spent. It is also true that there is no guarantee that this will continue to be the case in future. However it is a virtual certainty that whatever LAB provide to the NHS will be far better than the fucking Tories will do.

This is without taking into consideration the disaster which the Tories have created regarding dentist treatment. Currently in Stoke on Trent, there is not one single dentist that will accept new adult patients, many will not even treat children.

Then there's all the opticians who are also suppliers of hearing aids etc, which the Tories have effectively sold off over the years.

  5. Decided yesterday to add another night to the booking for tonight, so glad I did, it’s awesome here.

Might have a day off the bike tomorrow, but the Millau bridge is about an hour away, so I’ll either pop there in the afternoon, or do it on the way to the next hotel on Monday.

  6. I.. I.. just washed a Ducati :worried:.. :splat::splat::splat: :bomb:..... started it immediately after and then went for the obligatory 25 mile ride at legal speed limits to dry it off. Seems ok on return, but missed a load of bits I didn't dare to knowingly short-out or sabotage.

  11. Not read that one, possibly the strangest one I read that I don’t unfortunately recall the title was of ex German SS troops serving in the French Foreign legion in Vietnam.

    Thanks, possibly I’ve seen it.

Yet a mate of mine hated his cycling holiday in Vietnam.

  12. Perhaps lose the beer belly and build back up the stomach muscles for compensation is the way forward.

  13. With the UK population growing by the minute, plus many other factors causing delays there's no magic bullet for this one.
Like many millions of folk i've paid in directly & indirectly over the years and expect a better service and not to be encouraged to go private spending more money from my savings.

  15. True enough. All magic bullets have been rendered inoperable by the Ukraine war, especially as they cause inflation on a par with nurses wages.

That being said this makes everything far worse despite the fact that we are all paying more into the government yet getting far less.
