I guess not everyone's cup of tea. Cycling is challenging, depending on the route you choose, for me the worst about cycling is the temperature and humidity. At the 'wrong' time of year it is abject misery.
It wasn’t the temperature or the actual cycling that he disliked about Vietnam bud, I don’t recall the year he went but it was a very long time ago possibly close to 30 years if not more.
My bike went in for an annual service and new front tyre, had this for a few hours. Perhaps not the prettiest of bikes but really enjoyable. Lots of power, decent riding position but quite firm suspension. Nice for a morning hoon but I don’t think I could live with one
I was woken up at 3ish for the very long & loud thundering and lightning show this morning, so watched the Motogp sprint race at 4.30.......now i've the 24hrs race on in the background at Spa.
I should've, it was terrible mate i'm tellin' you, half an inch thick in places, haystacks, seagulls, bat guano - you name it.
Even that would have better than yesterdays awful lunch tbh. I stopped at a shop after riding over Col Du Beal (the restaurant at the top was fully booked for lunch), all they had was a loaf of sliced white bread, and some ham & cheese. It doesn’t sound too bad, but was bloody awful.
I consider moving to Vietnam right up until I see e.g. 'The Vietnam War' (which I imagine is the PBS show you mention) and I hear how to pronounce Giap and Diem, and imagine I'd be totally lost out there!
Decent swim this morning, then a 3 mile walk along the gorge. Back to the hotel for a couple of g&t’s and a spot of lunch. Massage and chill by the pool this afternoon. I really am taking one for the team here, I hope you lot appreciate it.
Calloway Paradym X irons and I already have the driver. My Ping i500's were dropping significant distance and I lost the ability to hit my 5 iron, so had a play with a few and got fitted for these. Based on a real round on Friday, they've really improved my game.
Yes, of course! I’ll give it two weeks once I get back before I weigh myself next though! Tbf, the portion sizes in these places aren’t huge, so overall I’m not eating much more than I normally would. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
