As new condition X-lite X-803 Carbon RS 50th anniversary helmet size small (56cm), purchased new in September from Sportsbike shop (still £474 there). Worn only a couple of times last year on local rides but its not a good fit on me so has sat on the shelf as I have an Arai as well thats a better fit. Helmet looks, feels and smells brand new and is obviously in perfect condition as it is as new. Comes with two visors clear/black plus all original bits and bobs & helmet bag. Location is near Kings Lynn Norfolk. Its a stunning helmet that looks great with Ducatis, price is £280. Can do a video for anyone interested....
they are stunning looking helmets, im tempted to just wear it more and see if it breaks in. its just a bit tight on my cheeks
If it's just tight on your cheeks, you can get thinner cheek pads, but actually they are one of the biggest wear points so I am sure it will.
That's lovely! If only you were closer so I could come and try on. I've always had Arai (small), but have always liked these.
They are one of the nicest looking helmets especially in this colour, my other lid is an Arai RX7V Evo size small
Being carbon Its a fair bit lighter if you pick them up to compare but i've not really thought about it when riding, might notice if testing them back to back or if on a long ride less chance of a neck ache but i've never had any complaints with my Arai. Worth trying one at your local shop if they stock them..
I'm a small -56cm - in an Arai. How does the sizing compare? I appreciate this is a question unique to you, really, as our head shape can influence a good fit. But just thought I'd ask.
I find its firmer against my cheeks but I have quite a round head, my Mrs calls me pea head lol The X-lite is more an oval shape where the Arai is there traditional round shape. They both fit me well overall but the Arai better, what I found with the X-lite is it was giving me a slight jaw ache from the cheek pads. Thing is Ive not worn it long enough to see if it will break in to stop that (probably will), someone mentioned above you can change the cheek pads to slimmer ones which is an option I could try. The X-lite is such a nice looking lid i've had it on a shelf in the lounge but seems a waste really
If it helps, in my experience the x lites fit quite a lot like Arai’s, although you have to be a little careful as there are quite a bit of fit differences between some of the arais
Just my 2pence worth. I've had small arais for 20 odd years, tried a small x803 on in helmet City for 40 mins or so and it felt tight across my forehead. I ordered a medium which seems to fit well. Done 1452 miles in it since Saturday this week and its all day comfy.
